Size Guide

Inside the temple you will find a series of numbers, for example 51-21-141. These are the three standard frame measurements in millimetres: eye size, bridge, and temple length.

On every product page we also list the full frame width (TTT). That is the one that tells you if a frame fits your head.

Full frame width (TTT)

The width from the inner side of one temple to the inner side of the other.

This is the space the frame leaves for your head, so look at this first. Too narrow and it presses your temples. Too wide and it slides down.

TTT is not printed on the frame. We list it on every product page.

Eye glass width

The width of one lens at its widest point.

It follows the design of the frame and decides how much of your face the lenses cover.

Nose bridge width (DBL)

The distance between the two lenses, across your nose.

DBL stands for Distance Between Lenses. It is measured lens edge to lens edge, not across the bridge piece you can see. The bridge is a design detail and differs from model to model, so measuring it would give a number you could not compare between frames. The gap is the same fixed point on every frame, and opticians use it to check that the lens centres line up with your pupils.

Too narrow and it pinches. Too wide and it sits too low.

Temple length

The length of the arm, from the hinge to the tip, including the bend.

It should reach over your ear and curve down behind it without pressing.
